Age Requirements for 2023-2024 School Year

  • Preschool  students must be three years of age on or before September 1, 2023.  
  • Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2023.
  • First grade students must be six years of age on or before September 1, 2023.

Paperwork and Tuition Information

    You will launch SchoolSpeak, our student portal, to complete the online application form.   Once in SchoolSpeak, click ‘Create a new record for another user’ and follow the steps to complete this form.  Please be sure to click Submit when you are finished. 

    Once your Application has been received and reviewed, you will receive an email notifying you that a SchoolSpeak account has been created for you along with your login information.  Please continue the Registration process as outlined in that email. ‘

All new students must submit the following paperwork to the office as soon as possible.

  • Original Official Birth Certificate (original document will be returned once we have made a copy)
  • Baptism Certificate and Other Sacramental Certificates (where applicable, copy acceptable)
  • Most recent grade report and standardized test scores (students entering grades 1-8)

Additional medical and dental paperwork may be necessary depending on your student’s age.

Re-enrollment of Current School Families for the 2023-2024 School Year

Q: What do I have to do if my currently enrolled student plans to return to SMPS for the 2023-2024 school year?

A: You do not have to do anything. Your student will be automatically re-enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year.

Q: I have a child that is not currently enrolled at St Matthew Parish School. How do I enroll a new sibling?

A: We require the following for new sibling enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year:

  • New Sibling Registration Form (click here)
  • Original Official Birth Certificate (original document will be returned once we have made a copy)
  • Baptism Certificate and Other Sacramental Certificates (where applicable, copy acceptable)
  • Most recent grade report and standardized test scores (students entering grades 1-8)

This paperwork must be returned to school by August of 2023.  

Q: What is the cost of re-enrollment?

A:  There is a re-enrollment fee of $100 for all current school families and it is non-refundable.  This will be charged to your FACTS account during the week of February 13, 2023

Q: What if I do not plan to send my student(s) to SMPS for the 2023-2024 school year?

A: Families who do not intend to return must fill out the 2023-2024 Opt Out form on School Speak by January 30, 2023.  

Schools operated under the auspices of the Diocese of Joliet admit students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally available to students at the schools.  We will admit students who are non-Catholic per our Admission Policy.  Parents and students must understand participation in Catholic religious instruction, school activities, and community service related to the Catholic identity of the school is required.
